Notice of Demonstration
Windsor, Ontario, Canada
On January 5, 2002 at 3:00 pm a peaceful demonstration will be held in front of
the University of Windsor on Wyandotte St. West, across from the entrance to the
Ambassador Bridge.
The purpose of this demonstration will be to show opposition to the further
integration of Canada with the United States of America.
This includes opposition to:
The stationing of U.S. customs officials (armed or otherwise) on Canadian soil.
Increasing the presence of FBI agents in Canada
The placing of Canadian military forces under U.S. command and the presence of
U.S. troops in Canada.
Substituting the U.S. dollar for our Canadian currency.
The direct assault on Canadian civil liberties under Bills c-36 and c-42 to
appease the U.S. government.
The North American Free Trade Agreement which has allowed U.S. corporations to
sue the Canadian government (The People) over environmental legislation, such as
banning pesticides and massive exports of fresh water to the United States.
The pursuit of foreign policies which are the dictates of the U.S. goverment.
U.S. corporate control of the Canadian economy, infrastructure and natural
resources through privatization (Ontario Hydro).
Please come out and march for the right of Canadians to determine their place in
the world. Lets show our support for a politically independant Canada. Lets show
our disagreement with the policies of the Federal and Provincial governments,
which consistantly undermine the nation.
"The constitution of Canada is the supreme law of Canada, and any law that is
inconsistant with the provisions of the Constitution is, to the extent of the
inconsistancy, of no force or effect."
