Suggestions for Actions to Curb Global Warming

 below is the list of suggestions...

  • Carry your own refillable bottle of water and other beverages.

  • Turn off appliances when not in use.

  • Recycle.  Recycle.  Don’t burn.  Go landfill with your stuff.

  • Use water only when necessary.

  • Turn lights off.

  • We could have a bike path for safer cycling running from North Port to South Port perhaps adjacent to the railway tracks.

  • Have an outdoor clothesline.

  • If it’s yellow, let it mellow, If it’s brown, flusher ‘er down.

  • Log a tree, plant two.

  • Give the trees a chance.

  • Think economics second, environment first.

  • Walk.

  • No pesticide or spray.

  • Walk more, drive less!

  • Ride my bicycle or walk on as many as possible of my errands and to visit with as many neighbours and residents as I can while walking/riding.

  • Bring back the horse and buggies.

  • Shorter showers.

  • Try not to drive my car one day a week.

  • Hang your clothes on a line instead of using a dryer.

  • Use environmentally-sensitive consumer products from a trusted company.

  • Have more hybrid vehicles.

  • Read more, watch TV less to save electricity.

  • Car pool.

  • Walk more, drive less.

  • Recycle.

  • Ride your bike.

  • Don’t use the lights when you don’t have to.

  • Ride a bike.

  • Take a shower every second day.

  • Turn heat down ½ degree.

  • Solar power.

  • Composting.

  • Bike or walk.  Enjoy the stars with the lights off.

  • Have an outdoor clothesline.

  • Make this a walkable city – keep 3rd Avenue alive.

  • Recycle.

  • Walk to get mail.

  • Turn off lights.

  • Turn off lights when not using them.

  • Conserve electricity.

  • Pee 5 times; flush once.

  • Regard all humans as family---use our energy to help instead of hurt.

  • Conserve hot water.

  • Ban Hummers, SUVs.  Government incentive for smart cars.

  • Ride bike to work.

  • Electric cars.

  • Solar heat my swimming pool.

  • Less driving.

  • Make use of solar heating.

  • More electric bicycles, less television watching.

  • Walk a lot.

  • Shorter shower time.

  • Separation of business and state.

  • Insulate your house.

  • Burn wood, not oil.

  • Pray.

  • Turn it off!  Lights, computer etc.

  • Plant at least one tree a month.

  • Stop using fossil fuels.

  • Alternate sources of energy for homes.

  • Drive smaller cars, use less gas!

  • Wind power & recycle more.

  • Impeach George Bush.

  • Trains, not trucks, for large loads.

  • Clothesline not clothes dryer.

  • Get a horse.

  • Turn off all electronics not in use.

  • More and better public transit.

  • Hunt your own meat and buy locally-grown food.  This saves oil in oil-based fertilizers, production and transportation.

  • Walk everywhere.

  • Watch how much water you use.

  • How about a burning Bush???

  • Stop cutting down the trees!

  • Walk more.
