Port Alberni Generation Project
![We the People Do Not Want This in OUR Town!!!]()
"In summary, the variable and light
winds inhibit the horizontal movement of airborne pollutants out of the
Alberni area, and inversions decrease the vertical dilution of contaminants,
while precipitation influences decrease the vertical dilution of
contaminants, while precipitation influences water quality. As a
result, Port Alberni is one of the poorest locations in Canada for diluting
and dispersing airborne pollutants" (Emslie, pers.
comm., 1979). )(Emslie, J.H. (pers. comm.). Meteorologist, B.C.
