OPERATION ALLIED FORCE UPDATE
NATO yesterday continued its intensive campaign against Serb forces in
Kosovo, with the highest overall sortie rate
in a 24-hour period of the campaign so far, with 679 sorties completed.
Throughout the period, attacks concentrated on Milosevic's forces on the
ground including tanks, armoured and other military vehicles, troops,
assembly areas, and artillery pieces, with particularly heavy strikes early
in the day
around Prizren and during the night around the Stimlje area. A SA-6
surface to air missile battery was also hit,
along with several radars.

· Novi Sad
Airfields at:
· Ponikve
· Sjenica
· Pristina
Military radio relay sites at:
· Kosovska Mitrovica
· Uroseva
· Kosjeric
Highway bridges at:
· Vrbas
· Orlate
Border posts at:
· Cestak
· Knjazevac
Petroleum storage site at:
· Pirane
Munitions storage site at:
· Valjevo
All NATO aircraft returned safely. One unmanned reconnaissance drone was lost over Kosovo.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
