OPERATION ALLIED FORCE UPDATE


On Day 52 of Operation Allied Force, NATO continued its systematic air
campaign against the Serb military,
attacking both its overall military capability and its forces on the ground
in Kosovo that have been engaged in
a broad and brutal campaign of ethnic cleansing against Kosovar Albanians.


NATO aircraft attacked the full range of Serbian ground forces, both
deployed in Kosovo and in Serbia,
including targets near Belgrade. These included tanks, armoured vehicles,
artillery pieces, radars, a bridge-making vehicle, other military vehicles,
troop assembly areas and revetted positions.


NATO aircraft flew 592 sorties yesterday. More than half were strike and
suppression of enemy air defense
(SEAD) missions.

· Kosovoska
· Mitrovica
· Uzice


Highway bridges at:
· Kosmaca
· Cuprija
· Popovac
· Kursumilija

· Podina


Surface to air missile facility at Kragujevac


Ordnance repair facility at Cacak



Army installations at:
· Pirot
· Alesinac
· Krusevac
· Lesovac
· Pec


Border posts at:
· Cestak
· Knjazevac


Petroleum storage sites at:
· Kraljevo
· Sjenica


Munitions storage sites at:
· Besinje
· Surdulica


All NATO aircraft returned safely. Allied Force operations are underway
on Day 53.
