VISIT TO NATO BY THE FOREIGN MINISTER OF UKRAINE, MR. BORIS TARASYUK, ON 19 MAY 1999



INFORMATION


The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Mr. Boris Tarasyuk, will visit
NATO Headquarters on Wednesday, 19 May. He will meet the Secretary General,
Dr. Javier Solana, and participate in a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine
Commission. The visit will begin at 14:30.

PROGRAMME OF THE VISIT


14:30 - NATO main entrance. Arrival of Mr. Tarasyuk. Open coverage on a
first-come, first-served basis.


Immediately followed by meeting with Secretary General in the Private
Office. In view of the limited space available, only a restricted pool
will be authorized to cover the beginning of the meeting.


15:00 - Room 1: Meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission. Photo-opportunity:
coverage of the beginning of the meeting by a restricted pool (3 minutes).


ACCREDITATION


Journalists wishing to cover the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs
of Ukraine will be allowed into the NATO premises on presentation of a NATO
accreditation pass or a valid press pass. Photographers and cameramen
wishing to be part of the Restricted Pool should contact Mr. N. Fiorenza.

INFORMATION


Le Ministre des Affaires étrangères de l'Ukraine, M. Boris Tarassiouk,
effectuera une visite au siège de l'OTAN le mercredi 19 mai. Il rencontrera
le Secrétaire général, M. Javier Solana, et participera à une réunion de la
Commission OTAN-Ukraine. La visite commencera à 14h30.

14h30 Entrée principale de l'OTAN. Arrivée de M. Tarassiouk. Couverture non
restreinte, suivant l'ordre d'arrivée.


Immédiatement après, entretien avec le Secrétaire général, au Cabinet.
Faute de place, seul un groupe restreint sera autorisé à couvrir le début
de l'entretien.


15 heures Salle 1 : Réunion de la Commission OTAN-Ukraine. Point image.
Couverture du début de la réunion par un groupe restreint (3 minutes).


ACCREDITATION


Les journalistes souhaitant couvrir la visite du Ministre des affaires
étrangères de l'Ukraine seront admis au siège de l'OTAN sur présentation
d'une carte d'accréditation OTAN ou d'une carte de presse en cours de
validité. Les photographes et les cadreurs souhaitant faire partie du
