We have had comments that the Alberni trails are some of the best kept trails on the Island.

The Alberni Environmental Coalition has re-published the Trail Guide to hiking trails in and around the Alberni Valley. Nineteen trails are detailed with 14 easy and moderate and 5 moderate to hard trails. Each trail is described in words and accompanied by a map. Copies of the Guide cost $10.00 and are available at the Alberni Valley Chamber of Commerce Tourist Information Center, Curious Coho Books, Queen Bee Books, Literati Books, Batstar Cafe, Alberni Valley Museum and the Alberni Environmental Coalition office (4770 Johnston, upstairs).
